lyrics

Oh sweet charity come and put your hand in mine
Oh sweet charity take the pennies from my eyes

You don’t seem to grow any older
At least you look the same to me
Please don’t grow any colder
Oh no, sweet charity

Oh my darling, you put a smile upon my face
Oh my darling, you put me in my place

You don’t seem to grow any older
At least you look the same to me
Please don't grow any colder
Oh no, sweet charity

A storm is coming and the rain is on its way
The clouds are dark and black, no hope of sun today

But you love me in the morning
And you bring the sun to me
Don’t ever change or grow older
Oh no, sweet charity

Oh my darling, come and put your hand in mine
Oh my darling, come and take the pennies from my eyes

You don’t seem to grow any older
At least you look the same to me
Don’t ever change or grow colder
Oh no, sweet charity

Hiawatha Telephone Company Brighton, UK

2009 album 'Harry Smith was my Father' is described as "immaculate, the acme of intimacy in music" (Common Folk Meadow). A second album 'Passengers Greatest Hits' followed in 2014.

HTC now records and releases music as 'The Family Grave'.
